Peloponnese – the center of the historical heritage of the ancient Hellenes, the birthplace of Greek culture and the cradle of the whole European civilization. There is hardly a place in a world that could compete with the Peloponnese in number and significance of attractions, including the legendary Olympia, Sparta, Mycenae, Corinth, Argos, Tiryns, Epidaurus, Patras, Nafplion, Monemvasia, Mistras, Kalavrita, Chlemutsi, Koroni, Methoni, Vafia, Gifio, Andricena, Diros, the Corinthian Canal and many others. Here, in Peloponnese, are the most significant in Greece ancient temples, stadiums and theaters, Venetian fortresses and Crusaders castles, Byzantine churches with well-preserved frescoes and archaeological museums with the greatest exhibits. There were held Olympic, Isthmian and Nemean Games. Hercules and Perseus, Jason and Helen of Troy, Kings Agamemnon and Nestor, Leonid and Diomed, sculptors and architects Phidias and Poliklet, Iktin and Polymed have perpetuated themselves here in centuries.

Day 1: Arrival To Athens

Arrival to Athens. Transfer to centrally located hotel.

Day 2: Athens Sightseeing

Athens sightseeing. All the famous sites of ancient and modern Athens – Temple of Olympian Zeus, Panathiniako Stadium, Ex Royal Palace, guarded by colorful Evzones, Hadrian’s Arch, Tomb of the unknown soldier, Academy, University and National Library and finally Acropolis (visit Propylae, Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens).

Day 3 : Argolida

Departure from hotel to Argolida via the coastal National highway for the Corinth Canal (short stop).  Drive to Epidaurus and visit the ancient theatre. The UNESCO’S world heritage listed monument is reputed to be the birthplace of Apollo's son Asklepios, the healer and was the most celebrated healing center of the classical world. Epidaurus is probably most famous for its theatre, one of the best preserved classical Greek buildings and still used today due to its amazing acoustics. After through Argos proceed to beautiful Nafplion, the first capital of modern Greece with its Venetian fortress of Palamidi and the fortified islet of Boutrzi (short stop). Continue to Mycenae and visit the archaeological site, home to the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon. Visit the Palace, the Lionesses Gate and the tomb of Agamemnon. Overnight stay in Spata.

Day 4: Sparta - Mystras

Departure in the morning to Mystras. This Byzantine ghost town, situated on Mt. Taygetos, near ancient Sparta, it served as the capital of the Byzantine Impire on the 14th and 15th centuries, experiencing a period of prosperity and cultural flowering. It has one of the most beautiful churches in all of Greece. After moving to Monemvasia. The medieval castle-town of Monemvasia stands on a 300-meter high rock off the east coast of the Peloponnese and is connected to the mainland through a bridge. The fortress of Monemvasia dates back to the 6th century. A beautiful place full of tales, history and magic.  It is as if time has stopped in the middle aged period. It was initially constructed by the Byzantines on a rock that had been separated from the mainland during an earthquake in 375 AC. Overnight stay.

Day 5: Mani - Diros cave

Departure to Mani the southernmost and middle peninsula of the Peloponnese or Morea, straddling the districts of Lakonia and Messenia in southern Greece, is a treasure trove of Byzantine and post Byzantine churches, Frankish castles and stunning scenery. The tower houses (the characteristic of Mani), the Byzantine monuments and the churches are worth a visit. In Mani there are also some of the most important caves in Greece. Moniaty are descendants of the ancient Spartants. Moving to the area of the village Diros, where there is a Diros cave, inhabited in the Stone Age. According to legends of the ancient there was an entrance to the underground kingdom of the dead. Visitors have the opportunity to sail in the boats more than a thousand meters in the phantasmagorical atmosphere An underground river is responsible for the crystal waters, and the underground space meanders gracefully about through the glistening textures of stalactites and stalagmites of all sizes and shapes. Move to Olympia, overnight stay.

Day 6: Olympia - Patra

Visiting the archaeological site of ancient Olympia with the Temple of Zeus, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium and the Stadium and the Museum. On the way stop in the city of Patras – third largest city in Greece. Visit the Cathedral of St. Andrew. Overnight in Kalavryta.

Day 7: Kalavryta

Visit of the monasteries of the St. Lavra and Mega Spileon (Big Cave). The monastery of Mega Spileon has been built at the height of 294 m. against a vertical and almost smooth cliff. The miraculous icon of Mother Mary (one of the four icons painted by Apostole Loukas ) made of wax and mastic gum is kept here. Moving to Athens. Overnight at hotel in Athens.

Day 8 : Athens

Transfer to airport. Departure from Athens.
